A portrait of Mr. Radish

The sample is a root tip of a radish just after germination. Its from is like a profile of Homo sapiens (A future person?). Vigorous cell activity can be seen from the dense section.

At 50th photo contest hosted by the Japanese Society of Electron Microscopy in 1994.
