HTA participates in a variety of social programs and activities leveraging our company resources and technology to support local needs. Our mission as a corporate citizen is to contribute to the continuous enrichment of life and to inspire the next generation of young scientists. Our goal is to exceed social expectations with flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives focused on two core areas: The Community and Educational Outreach.
STEM education is critical to the future of our country. By 2018, experts predict the U.S. will have 1.2 million job openings in STEM-related occupations-but only 200,000 new graduates will have the skills to fill them. We can do better. We can't miss this chance to change the future. Hitachi High-Tech America is working to inspire a new generation of achievement in STEM education. It's more important than ever.
If "seeing is believing," then nothing demonstrates the wonders of science and technology in the world today like the TM3000, our tabletop electron microscope. That's why we're making the TM3000 available to classrooms across the country. Plus, we've created Learning Labs and Teaching Tools that you can use to teach your students about electron microscopy and its applications.
HTA's Community Action Committee (CAC) leads the company's involvement in local communities starting from food and toy drives, community clean-up campaigns, support for shelters, to cancer research fundraising, and many more. Each major office location has a CAC team who plan, promote, and lead various activities.
Learn more about HTA CAC via Wholly Hitachi, a newsletter issued by the CAC.
