Service Planning Management Center

Service Planning Management Center

History of the Department

The Service Planning Promotion Group, which integrates the planning functions of the former Service Design Center, and the Service Parts Business Group, which integrates the demand forecasting functions of the former Procurement and Logistics Center, were unified and launched as a new department in April 2024.

Background and content of the system reform

The Service Planning Promotion Group redefines the role of the Planning Office, which was previously a common function of the Service Division, and solves problems common to the service sector.
The Service Parts Business Group will take over the selection, ordering and inspection functions for parts management, which were previously handled by the Procurement and Logistics Center, and will be responsible for selection (demand forecasting) functions.

Future Prospects

With the ongoing work style reforms and changes in the attitudes of service engineers working in the field, it is necessary to review the roles that service engineers should play. In order to realize the ideal state of service over the next 10 years, we will analyze the issues in the service business, plan solutions, and promote reforms.
In order to keep the necessary parts in stock in the best condition for parts supply, we will analyze the actual situation of services and operating equipment and improve the accuracy of demand forecasts.
