Roots traceable to the ancient Orient!?
This unit started by measuring the length from the heel to the tips of the toes. According to popular belief, this measurement was taken from the size of King Henry I’s feet. It has been used since olden times in the ancient Orent, and it is said that it entered the United Kingdom via ancient Greece and Rome. The current definition is about 30cm. Pretty large feet, eh!?
