Unit system

A series of units is called a units system. The "SI units system" is widely used all over the world as an international units system, but there are also "Imperial system" and "Shakkanho" as units systems peculiar to each country and region.

SI units system: International system of Units. This internationally regulated system of units succeeded the metric system and is used widely worldwide.

Imperial units: A system of units used mainly in the US.
Base units are “yard” for length and “pound” for mass.

Shaku-kan system: A system of units used widely in eastern Asia.
Base units are “shaku” for length and “kan” for mass.
