This system has all the functions you need to create samples, which are necessary to evaluate lithium-ion battery cathode and anode material. ArBlade 5000 is our most advanced ion milling model, and it is equipped with a hybrid ion milling function that supports cross-sectional milling and flat milling. This system can be equipped with a cooling temperature adjustment function (optional) to create samples of lithium-ion battery materials, for which there is a risk of alteration by the ion beam. The air protection cross-sectional milling holder was developed for lithium-ion battery materials whose shape changes significantly when they react with oxygen and moisture in the atmosphere. This enables SEM observation after ion milling without exposing the sample to the air.
