Staff from Hitachi took a Tabletop Electron Microscope(TM3030) out to the Youngster's Science Festival national event, held at the Science Museum on July 25 and 26, 2015, to give a lesson.
Visitors to the Hitachi booth were able to observe the structures of pill bugs, damselflies, silicon wafers, and other samples. There were also quizzes using electron microscope images, which the children under about ten really liked, while middle school and high school students were allowed to use the actual TM3030 to see close-up the parts they wanted to look at.
Everyone, young and old, would gasp in wonder at the latest technology, and the event was a great success.
