On February 20th, a remote electron microscopy experience class sponsored by Tohoku University was held.
Our company has participated in such events every year since 2016, however this year the event was held completely online, with participants able control the microscope remotely to examine samples which they had prepared themselves.
Thanks to the remote nature of the event, this year participants from as far away as Stuttgart, Germany were able to take part.
After the event we received comments such as “Being able to operate such a device is a very rare experience that I will be sure to boast about when I enter junior high-school” and “I thought it was a great experience because I could control the device myself even though I’m so far away”.
