Thermal analysis is one of the most powerful techniques for understanding materials and it has been successfully used to address many of the concerns in foods and food packaging. This free webinar hosted by Zyomic Technologies will introduce the main techniques of thermal analysis and discuss their applications.

Topics covered will include differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), and thermomechanical (TMA), and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). Applications including transitions, compositional analysis, oxidative studies, and effects of foods on or by packaging will be covered. Use of the Real View accessory to visually track sample changes will also be shown.

In addition, we will discuss how methods like liquid chromatography (LC), phthalate screening, and scanning electron microscope can be complimentary to thermal techniques.
