Kawagoe High-School, where Nobel Prize for Physics Laureate, Takaaki Kajita studied, managed to capture an image of a 0.2mm horned Tardigrade in 2017 using an electron microscope loaned to them by Hitachi High-Tech. The rarity of the image brought a spoltlight onto the activities of the school biology faculty. In this episode of The World through an Electron Microscope we speak with Mr Takeshi Saito, Senior Advisor to the biology faculty and Mr Otsuki Yuya, graduate of the faculty about their memories of using the electron microscope and their encounter with the horned tardigrade.
