This year, Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd., have started initiatives for biodiversity conservation. As part of this initiative, on April 24th, employees of Hitachi Instrument carried out cleaning activities in Baimajian Ecological Park in Suzhou, China.
Baimajian is said to be where Liao, King of Wu raised his horses 2500 years ago and it is a rich, natural tourist spot with mountains, creeks, forests and waterfalls. Participants started from the promenade in the park and climbed the mountain gathering garbage such as cigarette butts, candy wrappers, plastic bottles, etc.
Although the activity only lasted two hours, a great deal of garbage was collected, contributing towards to preservation of the natural environment of diverse wildlife. In addition, the participants were able to experience firsthand the results of such activities raise their awareness of biodiversity conservation activities and to deepen fellowship with each other.
Hitachi Instrument will continue to carry out biodiversity conservation activities in the future.
