Hitachi High-Tech Wins “Center Director’s Award” at Decokatsu Challenge Cup, a Contest Recognizing CO2 Reduction Initiatives
Hitachi High-Tech Corporation ("Hitachi High-Tech", part of Hitachi, Ltd.’s Connective Industries Sector) received the “Ibaraki Center for Climate Change Actions Director’s Award” at the Fiscal 2025 Ibaraki Decokatsu* Challenge Cup, a contest recognizing initiatives that contribute to CO2 reduction.
The contest aims to promote carbon neutrality in Ibaraki Prefecture by inviting individuals, companies, and organizations to submit their Decokatsu action plans, results, and CO2 reduction data. This year, our efforts were highly evaluated among 350 entries, earning us this award.
In this award, high recognition was given to Hitachi High-Tech for installing solar power generation systems at the Naka Site, Naka-Marine Site, and Naka-Tarazaki Site, contributing to an annual reduction of approximately 743 tons of CO2 emissions. In addition, the promotion of electricity derived from renewable energy at the Naka-Marine Site and Naka-Tarazaki Site, leading to the achievement of carbon neutrality, was also recognized as a key factor in the evaluation.
Encouraged by this recognition, we will continue to pursue manufacturing that minimizes environmental impact—starting with CO2 reduction—and contribute across the Hitachi High-Tech Group to realizing a Harmonized Society where the environment, well-being, and economic growth are in balance.
