Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd. Holds Bird Watching and Cleanup Activities — Aiming for Biodiversity Conservation and Environmental Protection
As part of its corporate social responsibility, Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd. regularly conducts activities to conserve biodiversity and protect the environment.
For fiscal 2025, under the themes of “connecting with nature and observing birds at close range,” “caring for nature and cleaning up the environment,” and “taking corporate social responsibility to heart,” Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd. held bird watching and cleanup activities on Saturday, March 28.
Birds play an important role in ecosystems, and their presence and population trends are often considered indicators of environmental health. For this activity, participants observed birds using telescopes and binoculars while an expert guide provided commentary at Lianchi Lake Park. The activity gave participants a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of bird species, their ecology, and the importance of coexisting with nature, and to take a greater interest in the natural environment around them.

After the nature observation, participants split into several groups to pick up litter and clean up the area around the observation route. Though it lasted only a short while, it was a meaningful activity that helped prevent litter from affecting the soil, water quality, and local ecosystem, and that helped each participant renew their awareness of environmental protection and social responsibility.

By combining nature observation with environmental cleanup, this activity helped reduce environmental impact and conserve bird habitats, while also deepening participants’ understanding of why biodiversity matters.
Going forward, Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd. will continue to actively promote biodiversity conservation activities that foster harmony with local communities and nature, working toward the realization of a sustainable society.
