The following is a summary of the Message from the New President for Hitachi High-Tech Group employees.

I am Yoshimitsu Takagi, the new president of Hitachi High-Tech.

During the 2024 Mid-Term Management Plan, Hitachi High-Tech Group has built a foundation for growth through various reforms. To leverage our strengths to achieve further growth in the future, we have established a new corporate vision: "Changing the World and Future with the Power of Knowledge" in April 2025.

In today’s rapidly changing world with increasingly complex challenges, we need to combine all the capabilities of the Hitachi High-Tech Group to create real solutions. In particular, our strong products, global presence, and diverse teams are a key factor to achieve growth. The Hitachi High-Tech Group, which actively invests in technology to create world-class products, is an invaluable entity within the Hitachi Group as a company keeping the pride and passion for manufacturing that represents Hitachi’s origins. We have many locations worldwide, and our teams are integrated into each region, engaging with customers and building strong networks. Our diverse talent allows us to approach matters from different perspectives.

I believe that we can create significant value that changes the world by deeply understanding various issues and engaging with society and customers. Under the new corporate vision, I will pursue the management with quick decisions and actions without fearing failure and adapt to change flexibly. For this purpose, I have two requests for all of you.

First, please share information promptly. I need to make the right decisions based on an accurate understanding of the situation of each business division and your insights. I aim to create a culture where both positive and negative information is shared quickly across all levels and departments.

Second, I ask you to challenge yourselves every day. I believe an ideal company is one where you take pride in your work and are motivated and energetic. To work with passion, it’s essential to take on challenges based on your own initiative, not just because someone told you to do so. Reflect current approaches on your daily work, and take on new challenges, no matter how small. I hope each person’s willingness to embrace challenges will inspire those around them, leading to a significant transformation for our company.

As we explore the issues facing our society and customers worldwide, I am sure there are many areas where we can contribute using our strengths. Let’s change the world and the future with the power of knowledge.
