Hitachi High-Tech India Launches FineSAT III to Support Semiconductor Quality and Reliability in India
Hitachi High-Tech India Pvt. Ltd. (HTIN) has commenced sales, technical proposal activities, and local support activities in the Indian market for the FineSAT III ultrasonic inspection system provided by Hitachi Power Solutions Co., Ltd. Through close collaboration with Hitachi Power Solutions, HTIN aims to contribute to enhanced quality assurance and reliability in India's rapidly growing semiconductor industry.
In recent years, India has accelerated the development of its semiconductor supply chain under government-led initiatives to foster the semiconductor industry. Investments in semiconductor fabrication facilities and outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) operations continue to expand, driving increasing demand for quality control and reliability evaluation throughout the industry.
FineSAT III is a non-destructive inspection system that utilizes advanced ultrasonic technology. It enables visualization of the internal condition of semiconductor packages and electronic components, supporting the detection of defects such as delamination, voids, and bonding failures. The system helps customers improve product reliability and manufacturing quality by supporting quality evaluation during both product development and production processes.
Through its collaboration with Hitachi Power Solutions, HTIN will support quality and reliability improvements in the Indian semiconductor market while leveraging the Hitachi Group's capabilities in analytical, measurement, and inspection technologies. By doing so, HTIN aims to provide value across the entire semiconductor value chain, from research and development to mass production.
