  3. Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. expands its Analytical Systems Division

Dallas, TX, November 1, 2022—Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. (HTA), an American subsidiary of Hitachi High-Tech Corporation (Hitachi High-Tech: Tokyo, Japan), today announced the expansion of its Analytical Systems Division (ASD) by incorporating the business operations of two other Hitachi High-Tech Group companies: Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science America, Inc. (HHA-US), and Hitachi High-Tech Science America, Inc. (HHS-US). The combination of these businesses within HTA’s ASD creates a combined analytical group to provide quality products and services that address sectors ranging from life sciences and chemistry to materials and industrial analysis. This newly augmented division, led by Greg Rigby, HTA Vice President, will benefit from efficiencies gained by integrating operations, a broader marketing reach, and a sales network that covers the Americas.

HHS-US was established in October 2005 as a subsidiary of Hitachi High-Tech Science Corporation (HHS: Tokyo, Japan), offering a strong X-ray fluorescence (XRF) detector product line business with its Vortex Silicon Drift Detector Series. HTA’s ASD will continue HHS-US’s former operations in Chatsworth, California.

HHA-US was established in July 2017 as a subsidiary of Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science Ltd. (HHA: Abingdon, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom), offering a wide variety of elemental analysis products including XRF, Optical Emission Spectrometers, and Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy. HTA’s ASD will continue HHA-US’s former operations in Westford, Massachusetts.

In keeping with its "Sustainability 2030" Declaration, Hitachi High-Tech is increasing its focus worldwide on the new energy economy. HTA’s ASD reflects the adoption of this focus throughout the Hitachi High-Tech Group. Many of the product offerings from ASD are well-positioned to play a role in electric vehicle production, energy storage materials, health, and environmental initiatives. Hitachi High-Tech will keep growing with its customers and partners by utilizing its Observation, Measurement, and Analysis systems on the basis of a sound management foundation which enables diverse human resources to actively participate and thrive.
