Our bioplastics currently under development incorporate the use of cassava (tapioca) starch. These bioplastics offer excellent moldability and can be molded under existing molding conditions. The adoption of bioplastics is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions (especially under Categories 1 and 12 of Scope 3 of the GHG Protocol), as compared with the use of conventional petroleum-derived plastics. Both bio-PP and bio-ABS products (including those mixed with recycled plastics) are available.
