The Hitachi High-Tech Group’s support for science education is not a set curriculum or program.
Since we loan out the Hitachi Tabletop Microscope without restrictions, educators can use the technology in ways that best fit their individual needs.

Our people are helping out in elementary and middle schools

In addition to supporting curriculum creation, in accordance with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology's guidelines, our staff also give original science lessons using the Hitachi Tabletop Microscope in elementary and middle schools.

We provide the Hitachi Tabletop Microscope for exhibits in science museums and science events or fairs.

Working with the Super Science High Schools (SSH)

Helping to foster the science and technology experts who will create our future, "Super Science High Schools" regularly utilize the Hitachi Tabletop Microscope to help enrich their science and mathematical education programs.
Our tabletop microscopes are widely used for teaching materials research, science clubs, and as exhibits for events both in and outside the schools.

Development of the web site

We developed this website that provdies "virtual lessons" in nanotechnology. New lesson plans and materials are constantly being added thanks to the support of its users.

Donating a Miniscope to Turkish Ministry of Education

Hitachi High-Tech Europe donated a tabletop microscope to a technical high school (Ostim Mesleki Teknik Anadolu Lisesi) and to the Ministry of Education in 2014 with the aim of contributing towards the expansion of technical education in Turkey.

Electron Microscope Event at Moscow Junior High-School

In 2017 Mendeleev University in Moscow held an event for local elementary and junior high-schools for years 7-9 (12-15 year olds) using the Hitachi Tabletop Electron Microscope.

International Relations Event as part of the 2018 “Year of Japan in Russia”

In 2018, as part of the “Year of Japan in Russia”, an international relations event using the Hitachi Tabletop Electron Microscope was held at the Japanese embassy in Moscow for Moscow #1223 Junior High-School students and students of the Moscow Japan School.

International Relations Event as part of "Year of Japan in Ukraine"

In 2017, as part of the "Year of Japan in Ukraine", outreach lessons using the Hitachi Tabletop Electron Microscope were held in Kiev at #78 Elementary/Junior high-school, Kiev Uniersity of Technology and at Platforma Event Hall.

In 2018, a Hitachi Tabletop Electron Microscope was lent to Vietnam National University’s new Analysis Center as part of JAIMA’s “Industry-Government-Academia Project for Centers of Analytical Chemistry Education”
