Notice of Service Update Regarding Hitachi Microscopy Products

Re: Models: H-7500, H-7600, HD-2000, HD-2300, S-2600H, S-2600N, S-3000H, S-3000N, S-3100H, S-3500H, S-3500N, S-3600N, S-4300, S-4300SE, S-4300SE/N, S-4700, S-5200, FB-2000, FB-2000A, FB-2100
Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. (HTA) has found it necessary to assign “Restricted Support” status to the models outlined in the subject line of this letter due to certain replacement parts no longer being available. Hitachi has been providing support for some of these models as far back as the 1990’s and anticipates that maintaining operational performance of these instruments will not be possible in the long-term.
Correspondingly, HTA will implement the following policies for these specific instruments effective October 1, 2026:
- Customers with existing HTA Service Agreements: HTA will continue to honor the Service Agreement and will renew the Agreement until support is no longer possible due to the non- availability of spare parts. HTA will only be able to provide service and/or parts for these specific model instruments that are covered under a Service Agreement on October 1, 2026.
- When spare parts become unavailable: HTA will notify customers with active Service Agreements when repairs cannot be completed due to the non-availability of spare parts. In this situation, HTA will terminate the Service Agreement immediately and return a pro rata portion of the original Service Agreement purchase price to the customer.
- Customers utilizing Time and Material (Billable Service): T&M services will cease for these specific model instruments on October 1, 2026. HTA will provide customers previously utilizing T&M support a one-time opportunity to purchase a Service Agreement to support the tool for as long as spare parts remain available. Customers must purchase a Service Agreement by October 1, 2026, otherwise all HTA service support will cease at that time.

If your budgeting cycle would require a modification to the October 1, 2026 date, or for any questions regarding service agreements or on demand service, please contact your local Service Manager.
