First, a Hitachi High-Tech Taiwan Corporation representative introduced the company and the TM Series Tabletop Microscope. After that, they helped 23 students use the electron microscope to examine rare samples related to their research topics, such as squid radula and more. With the collaboration of Hitachi High-Tech Corporation, CSR & Corporate Communications Dept., lessons were given to three 6th grade classes (approx. 65 participants) at Taipei Japanese School. The wonder and importance of science education could be felt in the students' reactions to photographs of a fly's compound eye, and in the earnest expressions on their faces when listening to a talk on biomimetic techniques from photographs of gecko feet.
