Shanghai, China
2018/11

Hitachi High-Tech Shanghai employees held classes using tabletop microscopes for 36 students at Shanghai Hua'er Pudong Experimental School in November 2018 and 44 students at Shanghai Pinghe School in December 2018.

At Pinghe School, the class included a wide range of ages, from elementary school sixth grade to high school third grade. The content of the classes was modified according to our perception of each age group. We were left with the impression that the high-school students were much more interested in the microscopic world they could see with their own eyes than in learning theory.

Through the lessons, we deepened understanding of the technical capabilities of the Hitachi High-Tech Group, and we received positive feedback from both students and teachers, who really enjoyed being able to see the hidden world of everyday objects through the electron microscope.
