Hitachi High-Tech lent a tabletop electron microscope to Nakayama Co. Ltd. in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, when it held its summer festival.
The summer festival took place on Sunday July 16, and was attended by around 80 children of elementary school age or younger and their parents or guardians. The merry voices of children, the generation who will steer the future, could be heard in the booth where the tabletop electron microscope was installed, as they were genuinely amazed and moved when they saw images taken with it of a world that cannot be seen with the naked eye.
We were delighted by many comments from participants in the questionnaire, such as “The children were engrossed in the experiments.”

Hitachi High-Tech will continue to develop closer ties with distributors and other business partners, and promote various social contribution activities.
