The Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers’ Association (JAIMA) has been hosting the “JAIMA Summer Science School” since 2012 as part of its member companies’ social contribution activities. This year’s event was held on Wednesday, July 23, with Hitachi High-Tech participating for the 13th consecutive year.

The purpose of this event is to deepen junior and senior high school students’ understanding of analytical instruments and foster interest in science and technology by allowing them to operate the instruments firsthand.
At this year’s event, nine students visited the booth. First, they learned about the electron microscope through a lecture by Hitachi High-Tech staff, and then prepared their own samples and experienced image acquisition, focusing on differences in the functions and materials of various samples.

As a JAIMA member company, Hitachi High-Tech will continue to actively support this initiative and enhance its presence to further strengthen business activities.
