Kyushu Branch Supports Microscope Observation Event at Fukuoka City Science Museum

Fukuoka City Science Museum, Fukuoka
2025/8/8

The Kyushu Branch has been supporting science classes organized by the Science Fukuoka Club, whose vice representative is an emeritus professor of Kyushu University. In recognition of these efforts, the Fukuoka City Science Museum invited the branch to assist with a microscope observation event linked to a special exhibition based on the NHK program Kagaku no Mikata.

Held on Friday, August 8, the event allowed participants (elementary and junior high school students) to observe a variety of natural samples using both a stereo microscope and an electron microscope. They each discovered their own “mysteries.”
Local students and parents, as well as families visiting Fukuoka during the summer holidays, participated in the event. Feedback included comments such as, “It was great to see shapes of familiar objects I never knew,” and “I was amazed by the advancement of technology.” The museum also gave the event high praise.

The Kyushu Branch will continue supporting regional science education through its business activities and social contribution efforts, contributing to a sustainable society.
