Hitachi High-Tech supported the GENKI LABO Experimental Classroom hosted by science YouTuber Genki Ichioka. This time, the program featured electron microscopy and was held over two days, attracting a total of 127 participants, including 67 children and 60 parents.
During the program, participants observed samples they had brought themselves using a tabletop electron microscope and took part in hands-on activities, including quizzes utilizing a handheld X-ray fluorescence analyzer and various science experiments. Through these experiences, participants explored the microscopic world beyond what can be seen with the naked eye and deepened their understanding of science.
Participants shared comments such as, “I want an electron microscope for Christmas!” and “I was happy to discover a world that cannot be seen with our eyes alone.” Parents also showed strong interest in the activities and analytical instruments, asking numerous questions throughout the event. The program was well received as an engaging educational opportunity for both children and their families.
Hitachi High-Tech will continue to promote science education initiatives that inspire curiosity and support learning opportunities for the next generation.
