Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd. held a science class for students at a local elementary school in Suzhou on April 20. The outreach program was conducted for 32 sixth-grade students from Suzhou Industrial Park Shengpu Experimental Primary School with the aim of fostering their interest in science and deepening their scientific knowledge.

The class began with a quiz about electron microscopes. The students enthusiastically competed to answer the questions, creating an energetic atmosphere from the very start. The students were then introduced to examples of biomimetics and how microscopic biological structures have inspired human inventions and technological innovations.

Among all the activities, the hands-on experience with a tabletop electron microscope was the most popular. The students took turns operating the microscope and observing the microscopic world firsthand. Their focused expressions and enthusiastic participation reflected their strong interest in science.

As part of its ongoing commitment to social contribution activities, Hitachi Instrument (Suzhou), Ltd. will continue to strengthen collaboration with local schools and contribute to the promotion of science education.
