Supplier Procurement Standards

Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. (HTA) is committed to responsible procurement practices and recognizes that strong, transparent, and compliant supplier relationships are essential to our success. We work closely with our business partners to ensure that our shared operations reflect the highest standards of integrity, safety, and sustainability.

All suppliers are expected to comply with the principles outlined in the Hitachi Group Sustainable Procurement Guidelines, which establish clear expectations across labor practices, health and safety, environmental protection, business ethics, and product quality. These expectations extend beyond direct suppliers, requiring that all associated business partners throughout the supply chain adhere to the same standards. Additional details can be found in the official guidelines:

HTA maintains additional sustainable procurement policies, as outlined below.

Chemical Substance Specification

To serve our customers and employees, and fulfill our social responsibility as a corporate citizen, HTA is committed to respect the environment and help build more prosperous communities where we operate. In pursuit of these commitments, and in an effort to ensure that all products that HTA sells meet legal and regulatory requirements and our customers’ standards regarding their chemical composition, HTA has adopted, and requires our suppliers to comply with, this Chemical Substances Specification (“CSS”).

Supplier Forced Labor Prevention Policy

HTA is dedicated to supporting the elimination of all forms of forced labor and to mitigating the risk that forced labor exists within our business operations or supply chains. Accordingly, HTA has adopted, and requires our suppliers to comply with, this Supplier Forced Labor Prevention Policy.

Corporate Citizenship

Our Mission

HTA participates in a variety of social programs and activities leveraging our company resources and technology to support local needs. Our mission as a corporate citizen is to contribute to the continuous enrichment of life and to inspire the next generation of young scientists. Our goal is to exceed social expectations with flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives focused on two core areas: The Community and Educational Outreach.

Educational Outreach Program

-

The Inspire STEM Education Outreach Program’s mission is to inspire the next generation of innovative pioneers through the advancement of STEM education with our teaching tool, the tabletop scanning electron microscope (SEM).

This program opens the micro and nano worlds by loaning a TM Series SEM and provides an opportunity to incorporate electron microscopy into traditional and virtual classrooms.
