This is a picture of the negative dyed catalase crystal, image processed, extracted characteristic structure, and pseudo color treated. An arrangement of catalase protein constituting a two-dimensional crystal seems to be a maze. Infinite space reminding of profound outer space exists there.

At 59th photo contest hosted by the Japanese Society of Microscopy in 2003.
