This is a TEM image of the coqpow virus negatively stained with phosphotungstic acid. We can clearly observe the structure of the stained viruses. The virus particles around the fiber look like spikes of salix gracilistyla which tells of the arrival of spring.

At 71th photo contest hosted by the Japanese Society of Microscopy in 2015.

Magnification : X 5,000

Accelerating voltage : 100 kV
