Little bird's hide-and-seek

The little bird hid himself in snug nest.
This cross section of ceramics was prepared using Ar ion beam and observed by VP-SEM, which was make it clear that inclusion cavity.
The grain contrast of ceramics by BSE image seem like snow, and little bird seems to waiting quietly in nest until spring comes.
At 66th photo contest hosted by the Japanese Society of Microscopy in 2010.
Condition
Specimen: ceramic
Instrument: Scanning Electron Microscope S-3400N (sample preparation : Ion milling System E-3500)
Accelerating voltage: 5kV
